The Selection brings private residential life into the changing urban centre of Ringwood, combining forty-nine apartments with an active ground-floor retail frontage along Bond Street. The building responds to its urban setting through a clearly articulated architectural order. Exposed concrete, charcoal steel frames, perforated metal screens and recessed glazing establish depth and rhythm across the façade. Planted terraces and balconies soften the building's edges, extending the living spaces towards the surrounding city. Within the residences, the emphasis shifts from the collective scale of the street to the everyday needs of individual homes. Generous floor plans, full-sized kitchens and integrated storage allow greater flexibility in domestic life, while private balconies and terraces provide opportunities for outdoor living and retreat. The Selection negotiates the relationship between public activity and private life, allowing the building to participate in Ringwood's evolving urban centre while preserving the intimacy of home.
