Situated in Hawthorn East, Nacre is both headquarters and showroom to one of Melbourne’s local jewellers. The interior’s concept is informed by the ocean, particularly the natural lustre of a pearl. Grounded by coastal, textural transformations, transitions between materials demarcate differing zones and programmatic changes. By focusing on the haptic qualities of stone, the decadence of each material is central, designing with process of creation in mind; pearl, shell, and stone.
