Lonsdale reimagines a historic Melbourne interior as a setting for music, movement and nightlife.

The design works through contrast rather than concealment. Exposed brickwork and arched windows provide a textured backdrop to an expressive interior of saturated blue, warm amber light and reflective, sculptural surfaces. Layered screens, changes in level and intimate seating arrangements create different degrees of enclosure, allowing moments of retreat to coexist with the energy of gathering.

The bar and DJ booth become distinct focal points, where material, lighting and sound contribute to an atmosphere that is both theatrical and intimate. Rather than prescribing a single experience, the interior offers different ways to sit, drink, listen and move.

Lonsdale celebrates the changing rhythms of Melbourne's nightlife, creating a space whose character comes as much from the people and music that inhabit it as from the design itself.
