Hawthorn
Elphin Grand
Elphin Grand brings two individual residences together through a shared architectural language, balancing a sense of coherence with the individuality of each home.
Set within Hawthorn's established residential streetscape, the architecture is composed through measured proportions, carefully framed openings and a restrained material palette. Rather than relying on overt gestures, the building finds its character in the relationship between form, material and detail.
Inside, natural stone, warm timber and finely resolved joinery establish a sense of continuity throughout the living spaces. Framed views bring the surrounding trees into everyday experience, while courtyards and carefully considered openings allow light to shape the atmosphere of each room. Material richness emerges through texture, proportion and the way elements meet, rather than decoration.
The two homes share a common architectural identity while leaving room for different personalities and ways of living. Elphin Grand seeks a quiet balance between precision and warmth, creating spaces that feel considered without being prescribed.
