Anytide is organised around a central courtyard, conceived as both the anchor of the house and a threshold between distinct ways of living. Drawing on the spatial intimacy of the contemporary tea house, the design turns inward, establishing a quiet centre around which the home unfolds.

On one side, a double-height living space opens generously towards the garden; on the other, a more intimate tea room looks back across the courtyard. The contrast in scale and enclosure is brought together through framed views, sheltered transitions and a shared orientation towards the landscape. Water, planting and changing light give the courtyard a presence that shifts throughout the day.

Rather than dissolving the boundaries between inside and outside, Anytide uses them to establish different degrees of openness, privacy and retreat. The courtyard becomes more than an outdoor room or a space to pass through. It is the element that holds the house together, allowing distinct spaces to remain connected while retaining their individual character.
