Hawthorn
An Inimitable Pair
Set within Hawthorn’s established residential neighbourhood, two residences are conceived as a pair. A consistent approach to proportion, material and detail gives the architecture a shared identity, while each home retains the privacy and independence of a separate residence.
The design balances openness with privacy. Sheltered courtyards and carefully framed openings bring natural light and greenery into the interiors, creating connections with the surrounding landscape while maintaining a sense of retreat.
In the kitchen, a generous picture window frames the mature trees beyond. Positioned in a space used every day, the window makes changing light and foliage part of daily life. Natural stone, warm timber and carefully detailed joinery bring warmth and texture to the interiors.
