Russell is family home organised around a central courtyard. Serving as both a visual anchor and a private outdoor retreat, the exterior is treated as an extension of the home. With thoughtful programming that blurs boundaries between inside and out, a sequence of transitional zones encourages movement and interaction, between built form and landscape. A pitched roof elevates the architectural character, while the design explores contrasting thresholds emphasized through saturated, opposing, yet balancing palettes that heighten spatial transitions.
